Chiara Cappadonia is an Associate Professor at the University of Palermo, Department of Earth and Marine Sciences. Her research focuses on geomorphology, landslide susceptibility, and rockfall hazard analysis, with a strong emphasis on GIS-based modeling and statistical methodologies. She teaches Applied Geology, Technical Geology, and Coastal Geomorphology for advanced geological engineering courses.
Her recent publications (2022–2025) highlight expertise in landslide dynamics, rockfall mitigation, and soil erosion across Italy and Central America. Key themes include data-driven modeling, inventory validation, and multi-parametric GIS analysis.
