Chiang Shih is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Florida A&M University-Florida State University, serving as Director of the Aero-Propulsion, Mechatronics, and Energy (AME) Building. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California (1988), an M.S. from Louisiana State University (1983), and a B.S. from National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan (1978). His research focuses on experimental fluid mechanics, steady/unsteady aerodynamics, and active flow/noise control.
Key awards include Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He has published extensively, including works at ASEE (2004, 2006), AIAA (2001), Tsinghua University (2005), and presentations at international conferences. His research emphasizes MEMS-based technologies and aero-propulsion systems, with contributions to flow control and noise reduction techniques.
