Professor Cheryl S. Schnitzer of Stonehill College is a leading researcher in integrated photonics and femtosecond laser spectroscopy. With a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Tufts University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Skidmore College, she co-directs the Photonics & Optical Engineering Certificate Program and chairs the Environmental Stewardship Council. Her research spans workforce development in photonics, high-speed materials testing, and SERRS studies of copper chlorophyllin.
