Dr. Cheow Yuen Lin is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Science, Monash University Malaysia. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, MSc in Natural Product Chemistry from Universiti Putra Malaysia, and a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research focuses on natural product chemistry, bioorganometallic chemistry, and drug discovery, particularly developing antimicrobial and anticancer agents from Malaysian tropical plants and bacteria. He has authored/co-authored 30+ refereed articles and supervises eight PhD students.

Research Interests: Synthesis of metal carbene complexes, isolation of bioactive natural products, antimicrobial/anticancer agents, chemical sensing, and sustainable drug discovery.
Awards: Received the 'From grave to cradle: Hunting new antimicrobials through sustainable drug discovery' Prize (2022).
Grants & Projects: Leader/CI in projects like 'Silver N-Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes as Potential Antibacterial and Cytotoxic Agents' and 'Exopolymeric Substances from Metal-tolerant Bacteria for Metal Removal'. Collaborations span Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia.
