Cheol-Hong Min is an Associate Professor and Program Director for the M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of St. Thomas. His research spans Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and their applications in robotics, wearable systems, and precision agriculture.
His educational background includes:
- PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota
- MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University
- BE in Electronics Engineering from Kyungpook National University
Dr. Min's research focuses on AI/ML applications for turbulent flow analysis in energy systems, EEG-based health monitoring, driver activity recognition, disease-prevention wearables, autonomous navigation, industrial robotics, and crop yield optimization. He has extensive experience in signal/image processing, sensor design, and context-aware algorithm development for wearable platforms.
His work has received funding from DARPA, the Institute for Engineering in Medicine (IEM) at the University of Minnesota, and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Prior industry experience includes senior R&D engineering at LG Electronics and project management at Sakonnet Technology.
