Chenwei Nie is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Warwick and a member of the Warwick Mind and Action Research Centre. His research focuses on philosophy of psychiatry, philosophy of mind, and epistemology. He holds editorial roles for PhilPapers categories (e.g., 'Delusions', 'Seemings') and the Chinese Philosophical Review. Previously, he held a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship at Jagiellonian University and teaching/research roles at Warwick.
He leads the Leverhulme Trust-funded project 'Incredible Beliefs: Understanding Clear-Eyed Believing Against the Evidence' (2024–2027) and co-investigates a National Social Science Fund project on perceptual biases in social cognition. His work bridges epistemology, philosophy of mind, and psychiatry, addressing topics like delusion formation, phenomenal conservatism, and cross-linguistic conceptual analysis.
