Chengwang Lei

Professor Chengwang Lei is a Professor in Fluid Engineering and Fluid Mechanics at The University of Sydney's School of Civil Engineering. He holds a BE and ME from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China) and a PhD from The University of Western Australia. His research focuses on energy efficiency in built environments, renewable energy systems (solar/wind), and water quality management, with emphasis on urban climate studies, pollutant dispersion, and natural convection phenomena. He is affiliated with the University of Sydney Nano Institute and the Centre for Wind, Waves and Water. Awards include the 2017 Dean's Award for Teaching and 2021 Fellowship from Asian Union of Thermal Science and Engineering.
