Chen "Crystal" Chen is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Strategic Communication, University of Miami School of Communication, since fall 2023. Her research explores attention, motivation, and decision-making in immersive experiences such as AR/VR, games, and narratives.
- Education: Ph.D. from the Institute of Communications Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Research Focus: Combines behavioral methods and formal modeling to refine theories about immersive media's role in media selection and effects. Aims to enhance media literacy for users and advertisers in complex digital environments.
