Chelsea Call is a queer artist, art therapist, somatic practitioner, and climate justice activist. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Sofia University, teaching from an anti-oppressive, liberation-based framework. Her clinical approach integrates modalities such as art therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, feminist theory, queer theory, existentialism, mindfulness, and depth psychology. Her work focuses on adolescents, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and trauma survivors.
- Education: Master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College (2018).
Her research emphasizes the intersection of identity, historical trauma, and socio-cultural environments on mental health. She prioritizes fostering self-reflection in students to understand systemic oppression and promote liberation. Chelsea is deeply committed to transformative pedagogy and has expressed profound gratitude for her educational journey at Southwestern College, which she describes as 'transformational' and 'soulful.'
