Dr. Chee Yap Chung is a Research Fellow at the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Birmingham. His work focuses on the intersection of environmental health, air quality, and climate change, with a particular emphasis on quantifying health impacts through mathematical modeling and epidemiological studies.
- PhD in Environmental Engineering (University of Nottingham Ningbo China, 2023)
- MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering with Environmental Engineering (University of Nottingham Malaysia, 2017)
Chee Yap Chung's research spans:
- Quantifying mortality risks from air pollution and temperature variations
- Developing mathematical models for combined environmental stressors
- Meta-analytical approaches to environmental health data
- Climate change adaptation strategies for public health
- Innovative wastewater treatment technologies
Recent publications highlight his expertise in analyzing PM2.5 and temperature interactions, COPD/lung cancer mortality patterns, and mathematical modeling for environmental health risk assessment. His work primarily centers on health impacts in China, particularly the Yangtze River Delta region.
