Chatchai Khunboa

Chatchai Khunboa is a Visiting Professor at the Shiley School of Engineering, University of Portland, and currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Khon Kaen University, Thailand. He is a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence, focusing on sharing his expertise in IoT and encouraging students to engage with contemporary technological advancements.

Dr. Khunboa's educational background includes a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Khon Kaen University (1992), a Master of Science in Telecommunications from the University of Pittsburgh (2000), and a Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University (2005).

His research interests are centered on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), Internet of Things (IoT), and Software Defined Networks (SDN). He actively explores applications and challenges in these fields, emphasizing their relevance in modern technological ecosystems.
