Charlotte Walker-Said is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York (CUNY). She holds a Ph.D. in History from Yale University (2010) and an A.B. from Princeton University (2003). Prior roles include the Theodore Lentz Fellow in Human Rights at Webster University (2012-2013), Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Chicago (2010-2012), and Visiting Lecturer at Harvard University (2009-2010).

Her research explores intersections of Christianity, law, and human rights in Cameroon and Central-West Africa, with a focus on colonial/post-colonial governance, religious and cultural change, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Africa. She has published in journals like Gender & History and International Journal of African Historical Studies.
Her notable works include the book Faith, Power, and Family: Christianity and Social Change in French Cameroon (James Currey, 2018) and co-editing Corporate Social Responsibility? Human Rights in the New Global Economy (University of Chicago Press, 2015). These works analyze religious influence on social change and CSR frameworks in globalized economies.
