Charlotte Taylor is an Assistant Professor of Media Arts and Photography at Warren Wilson College, where she also chairs the Art and Craft department. Her work focuses on experimental animation and documentary filmmaking, with a strong emphasis on community building and the intersection of art and social change. She is particularly interested in how play and creativity can foster community and how these elements can be used to challenge traditional narratives and inspire new ways of thinking.
Charlotte's research interests include experimental animation, documentary filmmaking, and the intersection of art and social change. She is also interested in the role of play and creativity in building community and challenging traditional narratives.
She is currently working on a series of personal works that weave together themes of love & grief, distance & time, longing & connection through experimental animation, 16mm film, and photography.
