Charlotte Nell is a Research Fellow and doctoral candidate at Friedrich Schiller University Jena's Department of Sociology, where she has been affiliated since 2019. Her academic work bridges social theory, phenomenology, and cultural sociology, with particular emphasis on romantic love structures, digitalization's societal impacts, and sports sociology.

Nell's research traverses multiple dimensions of contemporary social theory. Her work frequently engages with classical theorists like Alfred Schütz, Bourdieu, and Simmel while addressing modern phenomena.
