Charlotta Johnsson is a Professor at Lund University's Department of Automatic Control and serves as Rector of Campus Helsingborg. She holds roles as Deputy Director of X-Lab and Chair of ISO/TC184/SC5 (Automation Standards Committee). Her research focuses on Automation (Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing), Innovation, Leadership, and Pedagogy. She has contributed to international standards like ISO 22400 and ISA-88/ISA-95.
Her academic leadership includes directing the Technology Management Master's program and supervising over 50 M.Sc. theses. She actively engages in outreach, collaborating with industry and international organizations. Her work aligns with UN SDGs 3 (Health), 4 (Education), 9 (Industry), and 12 (Sustainability). Awards include the Process Automation Hall of Fame (2016) and Excellent Teaching Practitioner (2011).
Key projects include the NEXTG2COM Competence Centre for digitalization and the CAISA project on AI surgical assistants. She participates in initiatives like the Klimatneutrala städer 2030 network addressing climate-neutral cities.
