معرفی
Charlie Nicholson is a Researcher and Principal Investigator at Lund University, affiliated with the Biodiversity and Evolution department. He holds postdoctoral positions in Maj Rundlöf's group, focusing on pollination ecology, landscape ecotoxicology, and ecological modeling. His work addresses how biodiversity contributes to ecosystem services and how land management affects these services. Nicholson earned his PhD from the University of Vermont and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Davis.
Research Interests:
- Pollination biology and ecosystem services
- Landscape-scale pesticide risk assessment
- Agroecological modeling
- Socio-ecological tradeoffs in land use
Recent Research Trends: Nicholson's work emphasizes pesticide impacts on pollinators, diel pollination dynamics, and cultivar-dependent pollination deficits. His studies integrate field experiments, economic valuations, and ecological models to address agricultural sustainability.
Grants & Projects:
- FORMAS-funded projects: IPPM (2024-2026), BeeSYNC (2024-2028), and interdisciplinary bee conservation initiatives (2023-2027).
Collaborations: Works with global teams on pollinator conservation and pesticide risk mitigation.
