He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from QUT and advanced degrees in Fine Art, including a Master of Fine Art (Monash University) and Bachelor of Fine Art (Sculpture) from the Victorian College of the Arts. His practice bridges art-making and scholarship, focusing on sculptural forms, public art, and pedagogy.
Robb’s research explores practice-led methodologies, figurative sculpture, and topology in art, with notable works exhibited at major Australian institutions like MONA, the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney, and the Institute of Modern Art Brisbane. His public art commissions include memorials such as the Lieutenant Colonel Vivian Bullwinkel Sculpture (Australian War Memorial, 2023) and the 10th Light Horse Memorial (City of Swan, Perth, 2023).
His scholarly contributions address contemporary art education and curriculum reform, as seen in his 2021 ACUADS Response to the Australian Curriculum Review. He actively supervises postgraduate research students in Honours, Masters, and PhD programs, emphasizing interdisciplinary and practice-based inquiry.
Professionally, Robb serves as an executive member of the Australian Council of University Art & Design Schools (ACUADS), advocating for art education standards. His recent works explore themes of commemoration, temporality, and materiality, reflecting a commitment to both artistic innovation and academic rigor.
