Charles Prior is Professor of History in the School of History and Cultures at the University of Birmingham’s College of Arts and Law. Previously he was Professor of History at the University of Hull and held post-doctoral and visiting positions at Queen’s University (Canada), the University of Toronto, and the University of Cambridge, where he remains a life member of Wolfson College.
