Charles O. Anderson

Charles O. Anderson is a Professor of African and African Diaspora Studies and Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on Black dance aesthetics, African Diaspora concert dance history, and Afrocentric pedagogy.

His interests span Black dance history, choreography composition, contemporary dance, and critical race theory applications in performance studies. The Afrofuturism framework is central to his artistic and scholarly work.
