Charles Franklin is a Professor of Law and Public Policy at Marquette Law School, where he also serves as Director of the Marquette Law School Poll, a position he has held since its founding in 2012. He joined the faculty full-time in 2013 after previously serving as a visiting professor.
His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
Franklin is a nationally recognized scholar in public opinion, political methodology, and elections. His research focuses on partisanship, U.S. Senate elections, and public attitudes toward the Supreme Court. He has published extensively in major journals and contributed to significant book chapters on political behavior and judicial politics.
