Charles Coffey, MD, is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine. He serves as Service Chief of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at UCSD Health and Chief of Head & Neck Surgery at VA San Diego. Dr. Coffey specializes in fellowship-trained head and neck cancer surgery, with expertise in minimally invasive techniques such as transoral robotic surgery, laser microsurgery, and endoscopic procedures for treating tumors of the upper aerodigestive tract, salivary glands, and skull base.

Dr. Coffey has received prestigious awards including the 2021 Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award and multiple Oto-HNS Resident Teaching Awards (2019, 2014). He has authored over 60 publications and secured institutional/federally funded grants.
