Charles Carlson is an Assistant Professor and Academic Advisor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Kansas State University. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from KSU and researches low-power FPGA receiver architectures for energy-harvesting networks and smart-bed systems monitoring children with autism.
His interdisciplinary work integrates geophysics, computer simulation, and 3D modeling across archaeological and biomedical domains. Carlson co-advises the K-State IEEE EMBS student chapter and previously worked as an RF engineer at Black & Veatch.
