Charles Brower is the Distinguished Service Professor at Wayne State University Law School, serving as Chair of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration and Foster Family Research Scholar. He is also Of Counsel to Miller Canfield's International Disputes Group. His career spans over 25 years in international law, arbitration, and dispute resolution, with extensive experience as an arbitrator, counsel, and expert witness in major arbitration institutions (ICC, SIAC, etc.) and U.S. federal courts. He has been cited by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and received the Smit-Lowenfeld Prize (2012).

Research & Expertise: Focuses on international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration, and the law of armed conflict. His scholarship influences judicial decisions and shapes international legal practice.
