Charles Barzun is a Professor at the University of Virginia School of Law, specializing in constitutional law, torts, evidence, and the history of legal thought. He joined the faculty in 2008 and serves as the faculty advisor for the Dual-Degree (J.D./M.A.) Program in Legal History. His career spans academic roles at Harvard Law School (Climenko Fellow/Lecturer) and clerkship with Judge Robert D. Sack of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Barzun’s research bridges jurisprudence, constitutional theory, and historical analysis.
