Charis Goer

Dr. Charis Goer is an Assistant Professor of German Literature and Culture at Utrecht University's Department of Languages, Literature and Communication. She holds a PhD from Bielefeld University and has held academic positions at German institutions including the Universities of Bielefeld and Paderborn. Her research focuses on German-language literature within international, medial, and cultural contexts, emphasizing cultural transfer, intermediality, and popular culture. She leads the interdisciplinary research group AG Populärkultur und Medien and has received prestigious fellowships such as the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald Junior Fellowship.
