Dr. Chantelle Wood is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Sheffield, affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Centre of the Social Sciences (ICOSS). Her research focuses on behavior change interventions for health and environmental issues, reducing prejudice through intergroup contact, and meta-analysis methodologies. She leads behavior change efforts in high-profile projects like the INGENIOUS consortium (UKRI-funded) addressing indoor air quality and previously studied ventilation in hospitality sectors and single-use plastics (Plastics: Redefining Single Use). Dr. Wood also investigates barriers to autistic employment and racialized women’s mental health during the pandemic. She holds a PhD and BSc (Hons) from the University of Western Australia. Awards include the 2018 Early Career Senate Award for Teaching and a 2017 Turnitin Innovation Honourable Mention.
Education: PhD and BSc (Hons) in Psychology from University of Western Australia. Grants include a Colt Foundation project on autistic employment barriers (£66k), INGENIOUS (£3M), and UKRI/EPSRC funding for plastics research (£1M). Teaching includes Social Psychology modules and research methods at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
