Chantal Kirby is a Lecturer in Fashion Design at RMIT University's Fashion & Textiles department in Brunswick, Australia. Her research focuses on design practice and management, with particular emphasis on sustainable fashion and cultural production.
Recent creative works include Liable 'wardrobe, costume and dressing' at the NGV Triennial (2024) and collaborative projects exploring commoning practices in fashion (2023). These outputs demonstrate her engagement with circular design, material innovation, and interdisciplinary approaches to fashion.
Her practice extends to fashion film curation, including contributions to the A Shaded View on Fashion Film festival (ASVOFF13/14) and conceptual runway installations at Kunsthalle Bern and ArtEZ University of the Arts.
