Chantal Brunette is a Continuing Adjunct Lecturer at Queen’s University’s Dan School of Drama and Music, Department of Music. She holds a Master of Music in Trombone Performance (McGill University) and a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Université de Montréal), alongside a Diplome d’Études Collégiales from Cégep Saint-Laurent.
- Freelance musician active in Montreal, performing with orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique du Nouveau Monde, Orchestre Symphonique de Trois-Rivières, and Ottawa Symphony Orchestra.
- Principal trombone with the National Academy Orchestra in Hamilton.
- Teaching expertise includes trombone, brass chamber music, and aural skills.
She has taught at Queen’s School of Music since 2001, and oversees low brass instruction for over 60 students annually at the Ecole de Musique des Cadets Region de l’Est (since 2004). Additional teaching includes the music-concentration program at Mont-Tremblant (since 1997).
