معرفی
Professor Chang Kyung-Sup, a sociologist at Seoul National University since 1991, specializes in analyzing the unique sociopolitical dynamics of Korean and Asian modernization. His research focuses on the concept of compressed modernity, examining how rapid, condensed economic, political, and social changes interact in postcolonial contexts. He has co-developed theories such as developmental liberalism (the social policy regime of developmental states) and developmental citizenship (informal governance practices in highly condensed modern societies). His work appears in journals like Economy and Society, British Journal of Sociology, and Citizenship Studies, as well as in co-edited volumes on East Asian transitions.
