Chandrima Powers is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on human judgment and decision-making processes, integrating cognitive psychology, affective factors, and applied contexts to understand how individuals navigate complex choices in modern environments.

Dr. Powers' research explores three core areas: (1) individual differences in numeracy, information processing, and risk attitudes; (2) technological and neurophysiological methods for analyzing decision-making dynamics; and (3) risk communication strategies in health decisions for elderly populations. She teaches courses in cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, statistics, and research methodology.
Her work has been published in journals including the Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, Psychological Studies, and Psychology and Aging. She actively collaborates with PBA's Workship program to engage with elderly communities through applied research initiatives.
