Chadni Islam

Dr Chadni Islam is a Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), specializing in Cyber Security and Software Development. She holds a PhD from the University of Adelaide. Her research focuses on cybersecurity, software supply chain attacks, machine learning applications in security, and NLP techniques in software debugging. Dr. Islam has contributed to frameworks for post-quantum cryptography migration, dynamic threat hunting, and security tool orchestration.

Her work includes developing datasets like QUT-DV25 for analyzing next-gen software supply chain attacks, and tools such as DySec for detecting malicious packages in the PyPI ecosystem. She has published extensively on topics like API misuse detection, system-level bug reproduction, and risk assessment frameworks.

Dr. Islam’s research bridges theoretical advancements with practical cybersecurity challenges, emphasizing automation, tool integration, and threat intelligence. Her articles reflect a strong focus on real-world applications, including improving software supply chain resilience and enhancing security through machine learning.
