Cesare Montecucco is a Professor of General Pathology at the University of Padova's Faculty of Sciences and Vice-Director of the Scuola Galileiana. He has held academic positions continuously at the University of Padova since 1978, progressing from Assistant to Full Professor. His research spans biochemistry, molecular biology, and microbial pathogenesis, focusing on bacterial toxins' mechanisms and their roles in diseases.
