Cesar Perez Cruzado serves as a Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela within the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering and the Department of Plant Production and Engineering Projects, focusing on forest engineering and sustainable resource management.
He earned his Doctorate from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2011 with a thesis titled 'Models for estimating biomass and carbon in biomass and soils in Pinus radiata D. Don, Eucalyptus globulus (Labill) and Eucalyptus nitens (Deane & Maiden) Maiden plantations established in former agricultural lands in Northwestern Spain', supervised by Dr. Roque Rodríguez Soalleiro and Dr. Agustín Merino García.
His core research interests include:
- Forest Engineering
- Biomass Estimation
- Carbon Sequestration
- Sustainable Forest Management
He actively contributes to the PROEPLA (Projects and Planning) research group and previously participated in the UXAFORES (Sustainable Environmental and Forest Management Unit), driving initiatives in ecological engineering and forest resource optimization.
