Cesar Lopez

César López is a part-time Assistant Professor and University Researcher in the Department of Control Systems Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He holds a Master’s degree in Systems and Control (2010) and a PhD in Control Design (2015) from TU/e. His research focuses on navigation and control algorithms for robots in semi-open environments, emphasizing semantic environment modeling and interpretable decision-making processes. He has industry experience as a Senior Robotics Designer at Nobleo Technology, applying academic research to real-world applications like logistics, healthcare, and agriculture.

Research interests include multi-agent systems, model predictive control, and semantic-aware robotics. His work bridges theoretical advancements with practical implementation in dynamic environments. He has co-authored 16 research outputs, including peer-reviewed articles and conference contributions. López has supervised 13 academic works, including a Master’s thesis on vibration isolation systems.

External roles include a consultancy position at Nobleo Technology since 2015 and a postdoctoral appointment in the Research Robotics Lab (2017–2020). His research collaborations span multi-agent coordination, semantic navigation, and teleoperation systems.
