Cesar Itier

Cesar Itier is a Professor at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO), Paris, affiliated with the Languages and Cultures of the Americas department. His research focuses on Quechua philology, oral literature, dialectology, and historical linguistics, with expertise in indigenous languages and linguistic history.

He leads the Quechua Language and Culture Diploma program at INALCO and is associated with multiple research institutions, including the Center for Study and Research on World Literature and Orality (CERLOM), the Center for Research and Documentation on America (CREDA), and the French Institute of Andean Studies (IFEA, Umifre 17 MAEDI/CNRS USR 3337), where he heads the Indigenous Languages and Oral Traditions research program.
