Dr. Cenk Gursoy is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University. He holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University (2004) and a B.S. from Bogazici University (1999), and directs the Wireless Communication and Networking Lab while serving as a Senior Research Associate at the Autonomous Systems Policy Institute.
His research focuses on wireless communications and networking, including signal processing, information theory, machine learning applications, optimization techniques, and unmanned systems. Key areas include energy-efficient communications, cognitive radio networks, millimeter-wave systems, and UAV-enabled networks.
Dr. Gursoy's publications demonstrate strong focus on AI-driven wireless systems, with recent work emphasizing adversarial robustness in 5G/6G networks, federated learning applications, and resilient UAV path planning. His research consistently integrates theoretical foundations with practical implementations in next-generation networks.
