Cengiz Koparan is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Precision Agriculture Technology at the University of Arkansas, serving in the Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and Technology within the College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences since 2023. His work bridges agricultural engineering and precision technology applications.
Dr. Koparan earned his Ph.D. in Plant and Environmental Science from Clemson University, with additional M.S. in the same field, an M.M. in Business Management from Cambridge College, and a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Ankara University in Turkey.
His research focuses on the innovative application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) to enhance agricultural practices. He specializes in computer-assisted agricultural machine systems in precision agriculture, with applications spanning crop production, livestock management, and environmental monitoring. His work integrates robotics, sensor systems, and data analytics to address challenges in modern agriculture.
