Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cemre S. Günsel Haskasap is an academic and administrator affiliated with Near East University and the University of Kyrenia. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Near East University and founded the University of Kyrenia as its first Rector, focusing on maritime education. Her academic background includes dual undergraduate degrees in Business Administration (Near East University, 2007) and Maritime Management (2008), followed by a Master's in Business Management (2009) and a PhD in Organizational Behaviour (2017).
Her research interests span organizational dynamics, maritime sector management, and institutional development in higher education. She has played a pivotal role in establishing the University of Kyrenia, which specializes in maritime studies, reflecting her dual expertise in academia and strategic leadership. Additionally, she contributes to the governance of Near East University Hospital through its Administrative Board.
