Celeste Ryan

Celeste Ryan is a licensed clinical psychologist and adjunct professor affiliated with Pacifica Graduate Institute. She retired in 2018 after 26 years with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, where she held roles in the Juvenile Justice Mental Health program and as clinical director of a substance treatment center. Her career also included 18.5 years in law enforcement and private-sector substance treatment work. Dr. Ryan specializes in trauma (including complex and intergenerational trauma), cultural complexes, and integrates Depth (Jungian) psychotherapy with somatic approaches (Somatic Experiencing, NeuroAffective Touch). She currently maintains a private practice in South Los Angeles and serves as a clinical supervisor for doctoral students through organizations like Peace Over Violence and the Los Angeles County Department of Probation. She is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and NeuroAffective Touch provider.
