Cecilia Pozzi is an Associate Professor at the University of Siena, affiliated with the Department of Biotechnology, Chemistry and Pharmacy. Her research spans Medicinal Chemistry, Structural Biology, and Antiparasitic Drug Discovery, focusing on protein-ligand interactions, enzyme inhibition, and protein crystallography.
Key research areas include targeting YAP-TEAD interfaces for anticancer agents, developing metallo-β-lactamase inhibitors to combat antibiotic resistance, and exploring trypanosomatid PTR1 for neglected tropical diseases. Her 2025–2024 publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches combining virtual screening, fluorescence anisotropy assays, and X-ray crystallography to advance drug candidates.
Current teaching includes Advanced Inorganic Chemistry II and Protein Crystallography for Laurea Magistrale students in Chemistry. Office hours are held Tuesdays 10:00–11:00, with appointments available via cecilia.pozzi@unisi.it for in-person or online (Gmeet/Skype) meetings.
