معرفی
Dr. Cecilia Power is a Researcher in the School of Science at RMIT University, specializing in parasitology and aquaculture. Her research focuses on blood fluke parasites (Cardicola spp.) affecting Southern Bluefin Tuna, with expertise in molecular diagnostics, infection dynamics, and disease management in marine aquaculture. She is actively involved in developing in situ detection methods and improving parasite control strategies for ranched tuna populations.
Research Interests: Ecology of fish parasites, molecular biology of寄生虫感染, aquaculture health management, diagnostics for aquatic pathogens, and host-parasite interactions.
Current Projects:
- Development of in situ detection methods for myxosporean parasites (2024)
- Improving Management of Southern Bluefin Tuna Health (2023)
Her work bridges fundamental parasite biology with applied solutions for sustainable aquaculture practices.
