Cathy Louise Iacobo

Cathy Louise Iacobo is a Lecturer in the Global Economics and Management Group at the MIT Sloan School of Management. She serves as a faculty mentor for the Global Entrepreneurship Lab (G-Lab), Healthcare Lab (H-Lab), and China/India Lab. With over 30 years of global operations experience, she has held executive roles at IBM and Lexmark International, specializing in services, supply chain, engineering, and cross-functional operations.

Education:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University
• MS in Management of Technology from MIT Sloan School of Management

Her expertise spans international operations management, team leadership, and value creation through operational efficiency. Cathy actively mentors entrepreneurs through MIT’s Venture Mentoring Service (VMS), supporting startups in bringing innovative products/services to market. Her career highlights include managing EMEA supply chain operations and building global teams across diverse industries.

She is deeply involved in educational initiatives that bridge academic research with real-world business challenges, particularly in healthcare and emerging markets.
