Cathy Honghui Xia

Dr. Cathy Honghui Xia is a Professor in the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering at The Ohio State University with a courtesy appointment in Computer Science and Engineering. She previously served as a senior research scientist at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and maintains active membership in ACM Sigmetrics, INFORMS, and Applied Probability Society.

Her academic credentials include:

• Ph.D. in Operations Research and M.S. in Statistics from Stanford University
• B.S. (with honors) in Applied Mathematics from Peking University, Beijing, China

Dr. Xia's research centers on stochastic modeling and probabilistic analysis for optimizing complex network systems, with significant applications in cloud infrastructure, sustainable manufacturing logistics, and supply chain resilience.
