Dr. Cathrine McKenzie is an Associate Professor in Critical Care Pharmacology and Honorary Consultant Pharmacist in Critical Care at the University of Southampton. She leads the ESICM ICU Pharmacy group and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Critical Illness. Her research focuses on medication optimization in critical illness, including sedation protocols, drug dosing in ICU, and antimicrobial stewardship. She has received multiple awards, including the UKCPA Critical Care Pharmacy Award (2017) and the Fellowship of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (2012). Dr. McKenzie actively collaborates on NIHR-funded projects and has supervised PhD students like Muhammad Ashraful Mumin.
