Cathrine Edelhard Tømte is a full professor at the Department of Information Systems at the University of Agder, Norway. She also serves as deputy director of CeDIT (Centre for Digital Transformation) and visiting professor at SLATE (Centre for the Science of Learning and Technology) at the University of Bergen. With a PhD from NTNU, her research focuses on digital transformation in education, professional digital competence for educators, and sociotechnical systems in learning environments.
Her academic journey includes prior roles as a research professor at NIFU (Norwegian Center for Innovation Research in Education) and OECD-related work.
