Cathleen Aspinall is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Monash University. She holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Auckland and serves as an Associate Professor in Nursing & Midwifery Research at Peninsula Health (since July 2024). Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing healthcare equity and cultural competency.
Her research focuses on Indigenous health (particularly Māori care practices), healthcare leadership, critical care policies, and qualitative methodologies. Key areas include improving cultural safety in healthcare systems, addressing disparities in patient experiences, and enhancing clinical academic pathways for nurses.
