Catherine S Adamson

Dr. Catherine S Adamson is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Biology at the University of St Andrews, specializing in virology with a focus on antiviral drug discovery. Her research addresses critical challenges in viral diseases, including HIV maturation inhibitors and viral interferon (IFN) antagonists. Prior to her current role, she conducted postdoctoral research at the NIH, contributing to the understanding of HIV-1 maturation inhibitors like bevirimat. Her lab explores translational applications of viral IFN antagonists to develop novel antiviral drugs and improve virological techniques.
