Associate Professor Catherine Nagle is an Honorary Professor at Deakin University's School of Nursing and Midwifery. A registered midwife and nurse, she leads research focused on improving maternity care safety and quality through three interconnected themes: Public Health Midwifery (addressing obesity, alcohol use, postpartum haemorrhage, breastfeeding), Clinical Outcomes Improvement (decision-making, clinical deterioration, physiological birth), and Women's Experience Enhancement (risk communication, consumer participation, informed decision-making).
