Dr. Catherine Leviten-Reid is an Associate Professor in the MBA in Community Economic Development program at Cape Breton University. Her research focuses on housing, community development, the social economy, and social care, with publications in journals such as the Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, Community Development, and VOLUNTAS: International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations. She currently leads two research projects on affordable housing, one in partnership with the Cape Breton Community Housing Association and another with national institutions.
