Catherine Labruere Chazal

Catherine Labruère Chazal is a Lecturer-Researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of Burgundy (IMB), affiliated with the UFR Sciences and Technology at the University of Burgundy. She is a member of the Statistics, Probability, Optimization and Control (SPOC) team.

• 2024-2025 courses: Analysis (L1 Sciences and Technology), Python/R training for doctoral students, Algorithms/C++ (M1 Mathematics), Machine learning with Python (M2 Mathematics)
• Administrative roles: President of the L1 jury, Chair of Parcoursup and Study in France application review committees

Her research focuses on interdisciplinary applications of statistics, probability, and optimization to control systems and computational mathematics, with practical implementations in Python and R programming languages.

She is also actively involved in educational leadership and curriculum development for mathematics programs at the university level.
